With Liberty... Comes Responsibility
Those words convey the wisdom and vision of America’s founders and a roadmap for all who wish to restore and maintain a limited government and a civil society.
1
We each are blessed as American's with free will. The founders had no intention of restricting the actions of the individual when writing the Constitution; only to restrict government's authority against the individual. However, the founders had an expectation that people will act in a moral and responsible manner. The bill of rights protects the people from government force, but relies completely on the morality of the individual to act responsibly when exercising their rights.
1
Responsibility has been omitted from the equation when teaching children about the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. Our primary task as parents, educators, and grassroots activists is to instill the responsibilities that accompany our liberties.
1
Liberty and responsibility must share an equal status in our lives and we must demand the same from our fellow man, expecting the highest standard of responsibility from those in public service. Without this balance, government and society will cease to function.

The focus of the member groups of OurTP is to share the values of liberty and responsibility with every citizen in our statements and actions, both public and private.

Senator Mike Lee addresses Tea Party activists at Debt Commission panel
The Tea Party Debt Commission in Washington D.C.
On Thursday November 17, the Tea Party Debt Commission (TPDC) presented their budget and testimony at the Hillsdale College Kirby Center. Please download Budget from this link. This momentous budget will do what Congress is incapable of doing; Cut, cap and balance federal spending. This budget, unlike the miniscule cuts being discussed by the "Super Committee" will balance the budget in fairly short order and keep it balanced – without tax hikes! Once the budget is released, we will make it available here at OurTP.org to all Americans because this is your budget, created from the suggestions of tea party leaders, activists and fleeced taxpayers who offered their suggestions at hearings around the country and completed the crowd-sourced online survey.
These links show the progression of events through the day November 17th.
