A Detroit bailout could set a dangerous precedent and lead to further irresponsible fiscal decisions throughout the country. Some argue the political and fiscal decisions leading to Detroit’s bankruptcy serve as a “What NOT to do” guide. Cincinnati should learn from this instead of following blindly behind. Big government and irresponsible spending have only one outcome. As PM, Margaret Thatcher once said, “… Eventually you run out of other people’s money.”
